# Delete Lead

> Delete a lead and stop all pending outreach

This endpoint deletes a lead by its `leadId`. Deleting a lead removes it from lead lists and lookups, cancels any pending follow-ups and scheduled messages, and removes checklist items that were added specifically to this lead.

Deleted leads can no longer be fetched or updated through the API. Deleting a lead that has already been deleted returns a `404`.

## Authentication

Requires the `x-api-key` header with a valid workspace API key.

## Path Parameters

**leadId** `string` *required*

The Monumint lead ID to delete.

## Response

**success** `boolean`

Whether the request succeeded

**message** `string`

Confirmation message

**deletedLead** `object`

The deleted lead.

The lead ID

**name** `string`

The lead's full name

**deletedAt** `string`

ISO 8601 timestamp of when the lead was deleted
